जनाकारणें देव लीळावतारी। बहूतांपरी आदरें वेषधारी। तया नेणती ते जन पापरूपी। दुरात्मे महां नष्ट चांडाळ पापी॥

भक्तजनांचेसाठी भगवंत हा अवतार घेऊन लीला करतो. भक्तांच्या प्रेमासाठी तो नाना देह व नाना वेष धारण करतो. त्या भगवंताला जे ओळखत नाहीत ते पापी, हीन, अत्यंत वाईट व चांडाळ होत.

For the sake of his people the Lord takes incarnations and performs his divine play. Out of love for his devotees he assumes many forms and disguises with reverence. Those who fail to recognize this Lord are sinful, base, thoroughly wicked, and outcast.
