मनें कल्पिला वीषयो सोडावा। मनें देव निर्गुण तो वोळखावा। मनें कल्पितां कल्पना ते सरावी। सदा संगती सज्जनाची धरावी॥

मन हे कल्पनेने विषयात गुरफटून जाते म्हणून याला काल्पनिक विषयातून मोकळे करावे आणि त्रिगुणातीत असा जो निर्गुण परमात्मा आहे तो जाणून घ्यावा. कल्पनेतून असंख्य कल्पना करीत त्यात मन गुरफटून राहते. तेव्हा कल्पना करणे सोडून द्यावे. त्यासाठी नेहमी संतांची संगती धरावी.

Through imagination the mind becomes entangled in objects of desire, so it should be freed from such imagined attachments, and one should come to recognize the formless Supreme Being who lies beyond the three qualities. The mind keeps spinning endless fancies and remains caught up in them; this habit of imagining must be given up. For this, one should always keep the company of saints.
