हे मना, लौकिक गोष्टींबद्दल वासना बाळगल्यास ती वृत्ती बनून जाते. पूर्वजन्मांतील पापांमुळे वैषयिक पदार्थांबद्दल इच्छा होते. म्हणून नेहमी भगवंताचे चिंतन निष्काम भावनेने करावे. कल्पनेच्या राज्यात मनास भटकू देऊ नये.

O mind, harboring desire for worldly things turns into a fixed habit, desire for sensory objects arises from the sins of past births. Therefore always contemplate God with a desireless attitude, and never let the mind wander into the realm of idle imagination.
