बहू शास्त्रें धुंडाळितां वाड आहे। जया निश्चयो येक तो ही न साहे। मती भांडती शास्त्रबोधें विरोधें। गती खुंटती ज्ञानबोधें प्रबोधें॥

ज्ञानशाखांचा पसारा मोठा आहे. त्यांमध्ये एकमत नाही. निरनिराळ्या मतांचे लोक परस्पर भांडत असतात. परंतु ज्ञान झाल्यामुळे जो जागा झाला आहे, त्याला परमात्म्याचे ज्ञान मिळते आणि त्याची बुद्धी कुंठित होते.

The branches of knowledge are vast in number, and there is no agreement among them. Followers of different doctrines keep quarreling with one another over their teachings. But once true wisdom dawns and a person awakens, they attain knowledge of the Supreme, and their restless, arguing intellect finally comes to rest.
